This "Love Album" builds on the band’s jazz-influenced Afro-soul sound while returning to the traditional rhythms of Benin. The album was recorded in Helsinki, Paris, Cotonou, and Budapest, and features guest appearances by Nigerian percussionist Jah Baba and the large string section of the Budapest Art Orchestra, adding new layers to the band’s vibrant sound. Once again, the songs are composed by Janne Halonen and Noel Saizonou, with lyrics that explore love in its many forms.

In addition to the new album, Helsinki-Cotonou Ensemble will showcase at the prestigious Visa For Music Festival in Morocco on November 22, 2024. The festival brings together unique sounds and talents from across Africa, the Middle East, and beyond.
